Aims

To encourage individual and group social development through weekly workshops and presentation in the performing arts.


Skills of singing, acting and movement are encouraged in each of the weekly sessions and continued to performance level depending on commitment and ability.  Senior members are encouraged to develop skills in directing others.

Objectives

Previous members have gained places at Arts Education School, Central, E15, Guildhall, GSA, Laine Theatre Arts, LAMDA, RADA and University courses at Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Kent, London, Luton and Winchester.

 

After training past pupils have appeared for  professional managements of Barnum, Beauty and the Beast, Cats, Chicago, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Crazy for You, Grange Hill, Grease, 42nd Street, Fun House, Jesus Christ Superstar, Joseph, Me and My Girl, Les Miserables, Oliver, Pal Joey, Producers, Saturday Night Fever, Singing in the Rain cruising pantomime and television.

 

Past pupils often return to give workshops and direct.
